Norwegian Minister on April 23rd signed exchange
of notes with Minister for Foreign Affairs to effect
that Norwegian nationals will come under Chinese juris-
diction "simultaneously with nationals of those coun-
tries which directly participated in discussions" of
Washington Conference. This stipulation only to
affect those provisions of treaty 847 relating to juris-
diction. Ends.
